Felima Archuleta

Felima Archuleta, 93 of El Prado, NM went to Heaven on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. She was born in 1921 in Questa and was married to the late Daniel Archuleta for 68 years. They lived in El Prado for most of those years, except for short time they lived in Denver, Colorado. She enjoyed a long life always surrounded by family and friends, was a great cook, always having food ready to eat when someone stopped by. For many years she worked at Funks Five N Ten on the Plaza, later she worked for artist Ila McAfee Turner and Mrs. Gwendelin Koch and also for Scott and Betty Sanger.

She is survived by her daughters; Lilly Fernandez, Taos, Eva Jo Romero (Panky) Anaheim Hills, CA, and Mary Lou Torres, Aurora, CO. Sons; Danny (Esperanza) Albuquerque and J. Arthur (Pauline), El Rito. Grandchildren include, Steve Romero, Taos, Glen Romero (Teresa) Ranchos De Taos, Phil Romero (Alison) Coto De Caza, CA, David Romero (Michelle) San Diego, CA, William Torres (Irma) Denver, CO, Lynda Houk (Ray) Aurora, CO, Priscilla Wynne (Michael) Chesapeake, VA, Anna De la Cruz (Joe) Colorado Springs, CO, Loli McMahon (John) Atlanta, GA, and Francisco Archuleta, (Naomi) El Rito. Great Grandchildren include Alyssa Finley, Daniel Romero, Gabby and Patrick Romero, Tyler Wynne, Michael and Olivia McMahon, Vanessa De la Cruz, Brook and Ivy Archuleta, Drake, Crystal, Billy and Brenna Torres and one great, great granddaughter, Addison Finley. Surviving sisters include Cora Cardenas, Clora Gallegos, Jennie Pergo and Felis Rael, plus other brothers and sisters.


Rosary was recited on June 16, 2014. Funeral mass was held on June 17, 2014. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
