Norberto Vigil

Our beloved father, Norberto (Norbert) Vigil Sr., 72, a native of Taos, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2014.

Norbert proudly served in the United States Air Force and settled in Taos where he successfully owned his own business and greatly enjoyed ranching. He was born in 1942 to Rafel and Creselda Vigil of Ranchitos.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafel and Creselda Vigil, brother, Walter Vigil, sister-in-law, Linda Vigil, grandson, Marcelo Enriquez and nephew, James Vigil.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Trujillo-Vigil; his children, Carmen (Michael) Hunn of California, Norbert Jr. (Verna) Vigil, Gilbert (Julie) Vigil of Albuquerque, Yvonne (David) Trujillo, Jamie (Leonel) Acosta, Rita (Louis) Cardenas, grandson Angel Enriquez who he raised as his son, the mother of his children, Helen Vigil; grandchildren, Amanda, Feliz, Marteen, Valerie, Ambrosio, Shay, Isaac, Isaiah, Alejandro, Chantal, Alyssa, Aaliyah, Eliza, Kiahna; brothers and sisters Rafel (Karen) Vigil, Steven (Kristy) Vigil, Isabell Trujillo, Angelica Vigil, Annie Devargas(Art); many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial in honor of Norbert was held on July 27, 2014 in Black Lake at the ranch. Funeral mass was held on July 28, 2014 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos.
